Day 17: Favorite Disney Film

Hmm, OK, favorite Disney film.  I’m going to specify further and say no Disney/Pixar, and just go old school cartoon animation on this one.  It’s more fun that way.  And with that said I’m going with:

The Jungle Book

Hand down my favorite as a little tyke.  Another film I re-watched over and over again as a child.  Sure there were others like The Lion King and Aladin that were an extremely close second, but for me I have to stick with Mowgli and the gang.  For a child, it’s a great film to sing along with, and the jungle provided an exotic location for an imaginative adventure.  For me, I was drawn to the crazy characters like King Louie of the Apes, Baloo the bear, and Kaa the snake.  C’mon, as a kid, how do you pass up dancing bears and apes?  You don’t have to agree, but for me I couldn’t get enough of it.

What about you other Disney fans?  Do you agree?

About Matt Donato

I love all things film. I'll watch any genre, any actor, at any time. This whole film critic thing is a passionate hobby for now which I'm balancing with working in the business world, but hey, someday, who knows?
