Day 1: Favorite Movie

Alright, so start off with the hardest question any film lover can answer.  Favorite Movie Overall.  Say one movie, you get yelled at because it isn’t classic enough.  Say another, it’s too stupid to be the best movie possible.  No matter what, you’re wrong.  And think about how many movies you love.  How can you possibly pick just one?  We’ll I’m going to.  For my first entry and favorite movie, I choose:

Snatch:

Snatch is the one movie I can put in any time and enjoy it.  It is the greatest heist movie of all time hands down, and the most entertaining film I’ve seen to date.  Every single character is crafted perfectly, and has their own hilarious personality that only Guy Ritchie could create.  The cast does a phenomenal job, with the likes of Jason Statham, Vinnie Jones, Brad Pitt, Dennis Farina, Benicio Del Toro, and countless others.  Snatch puts a hilarious spin of the chaos of intertwining stories, but never gets confusing.  All is done expertly because Ritchie edits this thing together beautifully, which is one of the reason scenes are so effective.  Snatch is the one movie where if a friend hasn’t seen it, I will make them watch it on the spot.  A must see for any cinema fan, Snatch starts off my 30 Day Movie Challenge.

Chime in, what’s your favorite film??

About Matt Donato

I love all things film. I'll watch any genre, any actor, at any time. This whole film critic thing is a passionate hobby for now which I'm balancing with working in the business world, but hey, someday, who knows?
